Royei Shaabon

A product manager who builds. I took an enterprise data platform from pilot to 1,000+ active users, and I build systems and AI agents end to end.

From a pilot with a bad reputation to a product a thousand people work in

Matrix DNA is a B2B platform for building, distributing and managing forms and data, used across several organizational units. I joined a new pilot with very few users and a very negative reputation. I led the stabilization, a technical refactor, and the consolidation of eight systems in the daily workflow into four.

I worked day to day with the engineering team: scoping technical tasks and handing them off, setting up product analytics, and growing the team with design, customer success and analytics.

A few rules, mostly learned the hard way

  1. The agent proposes, a human approves, a pipeline writes

The agent has no write access. In a real system, one wrong row costs more than all the time automation saves.

  2. Correctness before latency

A faster, cheaper model was dropped because its tool calls weren't reliable. 20 correct seconds beat 5 guessed ones.

  3. Set thresholds before the test

What counts as success, what as failure, what we can spend. Written after the results, you always find a reason to continue.

  4. Stopping early is a result

At BLISSe the research showed the paying side wouldn't pay. I stopped before full development. Cheaper than any other version of the story.
